Andrew Little For Mayor Campaign Wins Labour Backing

Andrew Little’s mayoral campaign has this evening won the backing of the Wellington Labour Party.

Andrew Little says:

“I’m honoured to have received Labour’s support for my mayoral campaign.

“I intend to run a people-powered volunteer campaign involving tens of thousands of door knocks, phone calls and deliveries. The support of local Labour volunteers will be invaluable as we build our campaign network.

“I am standing for Mayor for the very simple reason that I want to use my skills and experience to get this city back to its best.

“I am clear in my Labour values and also in my ability to work across political lines and bring people together. If elected, I intend to be a Mayor for all of Wellington.”

Andrew Little’s priorities are:

Fixing the pipes and investing in our parks, swimming pools and libraries

Prioritising more housing development and cheaper public transport

Supporting our small businesses and revitalising Wellington’s economy

Taking action on climate and honouring the Treaty

Ensuring there is a firm grip on the Council and its finances.
